Let’s face it. You may have second thoughts about wearing thong swimsuits to very public areas like the beach. After all, thongs are small – very small, mind you – concessions to modesty with just a few inches of string and cloth as barriers to the next step in swimsuits – the birthday suit, that is.

Still, you can rock thongs like the Brazilians do even when you don’t have the perfect body. Yes, even without going the way of breast implants, butt collagen injections and thigh liposuctions, all of which will have side effects later on, like it or not.

First, you should consider a tanned look. Of course, we have all heard about the dangers of baking under the intense heat of the sun but there are other options in the supermarket shelves. We call them fake tanners, which you can spray on your body for a bronzed goddess look.

Second, you should work on your confidence. It will take plenty of confidence rocking thong swimsuits but with practice around the house and in your backyard pool, you will be able to parade around soon enough in public beaches and pools. Juts make sure that thongs are acceptable wear in these venues.

Third and most important, you must look good in your thongs. You have to work out with special focus on your buttocks area, which the thong swimsuit highlights. Your thighs should also be subjected to toning exercises to achieve a sleek look from the buttocks going down to the ankles.

Of course, it also pays to go for the thong swimsuits that will make you more comfortable. If g-strings are too revealing for your taste, then a tanga is a better option since it provides for more coverage on the rear.

No matter the style of thongs chosen, however, you should have a bikini or a Brazilian wax on your private parts as well as a good leg waxing.
